Police Investigate Assault – Arncliffe

Police are investigating an assault at Arncliffe this morning.

Shortly before 4am (Wednesday 15 July 2015), emergency services were called to Marsh Street, Arncliffe following reports of an assault.

Initial investigations suggest an altercation occurred between the occupants of two cars, a black Toyota Rav4 and a white Toyota sedan.

It is believed the occupants of the Rav 4, a teenage boy, and two men believed to be aged in their 20s, were assaulted with a baseball bat and a knife, before the Toyota sedan fled the scene.

The two men, believed to be aged in their 20s, were treated at the scene before being taken to St George Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene has been established and investigations into the incident are continuing. a number of items have been seized and will undergo forensic examinations.
