It’s not a secret that people don’t feel safe on public transport…
And why should they?
Nearly every day, the headlines cover news stories of brutal and random attacks happening on buses and trains, perpetrated against innocent people, most often at random.
This is just one recent example, where a man was stabbed by a teenager on a bus.
However, techniques to survive and get to safety do exist, can be taught.
Self-defence training specific to public transport can save your life, or the lives of your loved ones.
In response to a call from the community to provide training for violence on public transport, SGS Krav Maga want to make sure you, your kids and your loved ones know what to do if faced with an attacker on public transport.
This workshop will be based on a handful of recent attacks that have made the news, including knife attacks and knife threats, punches and chokes, striking and weapons attacks, and pushes/shoves into walls or to the ground.
This workshop is open to everyone regardless of previous training, current skill or fitness levels.
Self-defence is a right and learning to protect yourself and your loved ones against armed attackers is one that everyone should have the opportunity to learn. This is a must-have set of skills for self-defence.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain invaluable self-defence skills that could one day mean the difference between going home safely, and not going home at all.

However, we encourage all of our students to make learning self-defence a regular practice. That’s also why we offer classes for kids, adults, women and teens 6 days a week, to suit anyone’s schedule.
This workshop is an introduction to self-defence and escape. Participants expecting to become proficient in the area of self-defence and escape will require further extensive training.
The course is further not intended to replace the need for awareness and avoidance. Individuals should become more aware of their surroundings and whenever possible avoid placing themselves in vulnerable situations.
While prior martial arts experience is definitely helpful, we’ve designed this workshop to give complete beginners some practical, realistic options for self-defence.
No experience is necessary, although we always encourage our students to train self-defence regularly.
